Most Improved Award

This is awarded to the students from each grade who improved the most from the September test to the June test in their scores and times. This player made great strides in their ability as they were dedicated to learn, work hard, and listen. This player had obvious growth in their skating and puck skills.

NHL Prospect Award

This is awarded to the student from each grade that have been the top of their grade among the many test scores and records. This player demonstrates the desire to take their hockey to an elite level. This is someone who everyday does what it takes to get better and has the skills and work ethic to advance into a top prospect.

College Scholarship Award

This is awarded to the students from each school that demonstrates the determination to balance both high level hockey with their academics. The high standards of honors and excelling efforts are displayed in both the ice rink and classroom.

Work Ethic Award

This is awarded to the student from each school that puts forth the most energy on a daily basis. This player work hard even when nobody is watching them. Their work ethic is engrained in their genetic make up.

Leadership Award

This is awarded to the student from each school that other students look up to as a role model. This student has demonstrated responsibility both on and off the ice and in the classroom. They show leadership in all activities they take part in and conduct themselves as positive citizens in the Hockey Academy.

Citizenship Award

This is awarded to the student from each school that portray sportsmanship, dedication, and is a model to the community of Abbotsford. This player is witnessed as going above and beyond the expectations of an individual at this age while displaying character valued in the Hockey Academy.

The Golden Glove Award

This is awarded to the goalie from each school with the most improvements from the september test to the June test. This goalie will also demonstrate a high level of ability in all goaltending skills while displaying the attitude to want to grow in their goaltending development. The goalie will have great agility, speed, flexibility and effort to stop the puck. There is daily evidence of their dedication to their position

Academic Improvement Award

This is awarded to the student from each school who has had the most improvement in their academic classes from their first report card to the end of the year. This student might have had a tough start but with dedication and a strong work ethic has managed to be successful at improving their grade(s).

Academic Performance Award

This is awarded to the student from each school who has the highest percent average in their academic classes. This student prides themselves on going above and beyond expectations. This student is very academically strong and works very hard in the school to maintain school excellence.

Gladiator Fitness Award

This is awarded to the student from each school who has improved the most in their dryland programs. This student takes great pride in their physical health and fitness levels. This student showed great improvement from their first test to their last test which displays a high level in speed, agility, and quickness. For the younger players they show great effort and attitude in their P.E. class and for the older players they show daily improvements and dedication to their hockey specific training.
