The MEI Head of Schools is inviting applications for the position of Middle School Principal. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Valid B.C. Professional Teacher Certification
• Working knowledge of the B.C. curriculum and current trends in education
• A commitment to Christian Education in partnership with church and family from an Evangelical faith perspective
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other leaders, both educational and operational
• A completed master’s degree in educational leadership with a focus on administration
• Successful leadership experience in a K – 12 school setting
• Thorough understanding of Middle Level Education including curriculum, instruction, and assessment characteristics
• A demonstrable commitment to and knowledge about this age group, educational research, and best practices
• A proven track record of establishing a healthy staff culture in which each member feels safe, heard, and valued
• Demonstrated strong Christian leadership as evidenced by a healthy Biblical foundation, intentional modelling and teaching, a dependence on the Holy Spirit’s leading, and outstanding character
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
