Director – Coach
Peter Hay
Raised in Abbotsford Minor Hockey, Peter Hay went on to play many years of hockey at the Junior A and NCAA Div 1 College levels before advancing to the AHL and ECHL Pro leagues. Peter learned a great deal playing at the higher levels and wants to help young players with their goals of reaching their potential. Peter has brought his playing experience into coaching as he worked closely as an Assistant Coach with the WHL’s Chilliwack Bruins and was the head instructor of the CMS Hockey Academy. Peter continues to run his own hockey training program out of Abbotsford called PHD. Peter’s main goal in the MEI Hockey Academy is to see all players reach their potential in their hockey skills and personal character development while also giving players great opportunities to reach their best hockey levels with affiliated programs such as the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds of the BCMML and the Trinity Western University program. Many of these players will go on to the BCHL, WHL and NCAA levels. Some players have even gone on to reach the NHL.
