Second year guard Harvina Kaler of the CBC Bearcats (and MEI alum of 2012) is currently enjoying an outstanding season, and is near the top in the league in both assists and steals. kalerFollowing a disappointing three win season a year ago, Kaler questioned whether or not to return for the 2015-2016 season.  Ultimately she decided to come back and it’s paid off for the Bearcats.  She has collected 37 assists, second most in the Conference and has hit the holiday break shooting 30% from the field, scoring 85 points, which is second most on the team.

She was recently named the basketball Athlete of the Week. The Prince George native talks with Ryan Watters about her season so far.

Coach Sam Hawkes says:

“Take a listen to this College basketball interview with Ryan Watters, Canadian Colleges Athletic Association. She has been on quite the journey since leaving MEI and this interview captures the maturity and humility she is developing! So proud of our MEI alum!”
