MEI Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of MIKE LEE as the DIRECTOR OF BASKETBALL OPERATIONS K – 12.

Mike Lee is a WJ Mouat and UFV player alumnus and an MEI parent volunteer with a passion to see children develop their character through sport.
“Watching a student grow into a caring member of their community because of involvement in athletics is what I live for. I’m excited to see MEI continue to build on decades of success in basketball and athletics in general.”

Vijay Manuel, Head of MEI Schools has indicated that Lee joins an already passionate group of leaders including Peter Hay (Director of the Hockey Academy), Derek Shuel (Director of Volleyball Operations), Rick Thiessen, Reg Wiebe, and Kara Davis (MEI Athletic Directors) as well as countless staff and community coaches who have carried the athletics torch for years in the Home of the Eagles.

Manuel believes MEI is at the start of a new day in many areas including basketball and athletics as a whole. “We are excited to see students performing at a high level in their sport and are even more passionate about harnessing athletics to help build young women and men of character.”

Lee will begin his role as a senior advisor to the Head of Schools along with Peter Hay (hockey) and Derek Shuel (volleyball) effective ‪December 1st, 2016‬.
