The MEI Class of 1969 enjoyed an all-day 50-year reunion event this past Saturday, June 1, 2019. Our thanks to Viola Connolly and team for preparing a day full of group activities, starting and ending at MEI. Reunion Recap
On June 1, MEI class of 1969 and our partners got together to celebrate our 50th grad reunion. We came from Ontario, Winnipeg, Alberta, Washington and other parts of British Columbia. We met at the school in the morning for brunch and had a tour of the school, had a trivia game about the year 1969, and did a lot of reminiscing about our years together at school. In the afternoon we had some free time and some went winetasting, and some took a tour of Suderman’s antique car museum. We met for a delicious dinner at the school and then watched a couple of videos that had been put together about the highlights of 1969. It was a great time of reconnecting, laughing, and telling stories.

10:30 am: Meet at MEI Middle School Multi-Purpose Room for registration, meet & greet and a light brunch
1:00 pm: School tour with MEI Secondary Vice-Principal Marc Bergen
1:30 pm: Heading offsite (Suderman Museum? Mennonite Heritage Museum? Go for a walk? There are options)
5:00 pm: Return to MEI Middle School Multi-Purpose Room (and outdoor courtyard) for early BBQ dinner. Program and entertainment to follow. Group photos (at 5:00 pm) by MEI photographer, Paul Funk
9:00 pm: School closes
