The MEI Schools Class of 1955 had their 60th Reunion on May 13, 2015 at MEI Secondary. Some morning highlights were a drop in to Mr. Balzer’s Math 12 class, a stop in to see students working on projects in Woodworking class, a performance by the Concert Choir under the direction of Mr. Wedel, and a glimpse at the impact of our current missions program via a slide presentation by Mr. Zukowski. After touring some offsite destinations, the group returned in the evening to share a catered dinner and a time of D7C_6308reminiscing, including testimonials and a memorial time. Congratulations to the Class of 1955 Reunion Committee for organizing such a meaningful time together. One alumnus expressed the heartfelt goal of the group so well when he said “we want to burn out rather than rust out”. Their enthusiasm for life and their kindness and care for one another and for our school made their presence here such a gift.
