Middle/Secondary Music Department Clerical Assistant
Intended start date of August 17th, 2026
MEI Middle and MEI Secondary is inviting applications for a Middle/Secondary Music Department Clerical Assistant. This position supports both music departments and reports to the Secondary Principal. This position is a part-time position of 10 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend availability required. This is a continuing position that begins each year on the Monday two weeks before school starts in September and ends the week after school ends at the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manages all School Cash Online entries – including amounts owing for uniforms, performances, trips etc., and all consent forms.
• Coordinates and oversees sizing, purchasing and distribution of all uniforms
• Coordinates all details for gigs, longer music trips & annual band camp, including bussing and consent forms
• Maintains organized records of inventory, uniforms, and instruments
• Supports teachers with communication to parents through emails, Schoology, and School Cash Online
• Submits all invoices through accounting system (Sage Intacct) and collects and reconcile all receipts for Visa cards used by Directors and submit monthly to finance department
• Facilitates 1-2 fundraisers every year for families
• Attends all major school concerts (Christmas, band choral) to help with visuals/tech
• Travels on all out-of-town/overnight music department trips
• The wage range for this position is $27.43 to $30.01 per hour
