Custodial Worker – Full-time evening shift temporary position for one year beginning July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 ($27.42/hour)
MEI Schools is seeking a qualified, energetic, and self-motivated Custodial Worker to join our facilities team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of MEI buildings, performing both routine and heavy-duty tasks. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, as well as the physical capacity to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and stand for extended periods of time.
Responsibilities include:
- Regular cleaning duties such as wiping down desks, mopping floors, and emptying garbage bins
- Heavy-duty cleaning such as:
- Scrubbing hard floors using a swing machine and wet vacuum
- Operating a high-speed burnisher
- Shampooing carpets and rugs
