The parameters of rules and expectations that you put in place at home will undoubtedly guide their behaviour in the years to come. Please join us for an informative presentation which will cover the following topics and more!
• SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATE – Current apps and trends
• PICK YOUR BATTLES – promote independence whilst taking a strong stance on certain subjects
• CURRENT RESEARCH – brain development and technology, violent video games
• DIGITAL FOOTPRINT and REPUTATION – recruiters and employers are taking note? What are you leaving behind?
• TIPS and TRICKS to use at home
Students had an opportunity to travel back to a vibrant Medieval Town where they brought the Renaissance Era to life. Each pair chose a specific role to authentically act out and portray for the evening. As guests entered the Renaissance Faire, they were greeted by friendly Gestures telling them some hilarious jokes and providing them with some great entertainment. As they continued to walk down the hall, they were invited to challenge their opponent in a jousting tournament that was not for the faint of heart. By now, guests were growing quite hungry, so they stopped by the merchant’s table to see what they were trading that evening. As their prices were a bit high, many were inclined to head over to the baker’s table instead for some fresh bread. This was near the artists’ den so they stepped in to see if there were any new pieces to purchase. On route out, they stopped by the seamstress to quickly fix their dress, and then stopped by the blacksmith’s table to fetch some new tools. As they left, they saw the knights showing off their great armour and the King and Queen dining in their Royal Court. It was a busy night in the town, but certainly a night to remember.
