Middle School

Library Technician
Full-time continuing position

MEI Middle School requires an energetic, motivated Library Technician responsible for creating a welcoming environment and encouraging literacy in middle school students. The Library Tech will also be responsible for organizing and maintaining learning resources using an automated library management system. Responsibilities include ordering resources, cataloging and classification, circulation, reference, supporting audio-visual needs, and as appropriate, technical and administrative services.

The candidate must demonstrate a love for students and be willing to assist them in locating resources. This person will work with classroom teachers on themes and research studies, as well as managing all the tasks associated with operating a school library. We are looking for someone who enjoys working on a middle school team.

MEI Secondary is looking to fill the following teaching positions for the 2018/19 school year. We are looking for engaging teachers who are seeking to contribute to a positive, Christ-centered school environment.

Secondary School

Social Studies & Law Teacher
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Temporary (August 29, 2018 to June 30, 2019)

Social Studies 9, Social Studies 10, Law 12

Learning Support Teacher (Special Education)
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Continuing

This teacher will be providing case management, development and implementation of programs for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students.

Necessary qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in using Ministry Special Education criteria and to set up and implement adapted or modified programs
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in creating extensive Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students meeting any one of the Ministry’s designations
  • Skill in developing instructional and behavioural strategies to assist classroom teachers
  • Strong communication skills as evidenced with parents, teacher and other School Based Resource Team members
